Hands-On Old Masters Presentation at Sotheby’s

On October 8, Young Patrons Circle members were welcomed at Sotheby’s for a fun and insightful evening. The night began with a wine tasting led by Yassmin Mohamedi, a wine advisor at Sotheby’s Wine, which was followed by a presentation about examining and valuing old master paintings for auction led by David Pollack, a specialist in the Old Master Paintings department. One highlight was seeing canvases lit up under black light to detect dirt, restoration, or imperfections. Guests were able to handle works, ask in-depth questions, and get a closer look at centuries-old art. Members received a take-away of skincare samples by Sisley Paris.
