International Council of the Louvre Art Trip to Maastricht
In March, the International Council of the Louvre will visit Maastricht on the occasion of TEFAF.
Maastricht is a historic city located in the southern part of the Netherlands on the banks of the Maas River with a unique European character. It is the capital of the Limburg province and is situated near the borders of Belgium and Germany. The city’s international connectivity and the presence of European institutions contribute to its cosmopolitan feel. Itis known for its rich history dating back to Roman times, beautiful architecture with well-preserved medieval buildings, cobbled streets, historic buildings, and a blend of architectural styles. Maastricht is also known for its vibrant cultural scene, especially for The European Fine Art Foundation (TEFAF), which takes place in the city every year.
