Liaisons au Louvre IV: La Dolce Vita

Chaired by trustee Becca Cason Thrash and benefitting American and International Friends of the Louvre, as well as Venetian Heritage, this fourth edition of the Liaisons au Louvre unfolded in two different European Cities, equally known for their respectively impressive artistic heritage and their romantic atmosphere: Paris and Venice. Some of the finest institutions, ranging from the Ritz Paris, Picasso Museum, Fondation Louis Vuitton, the Petit Palais and the Louvre, to the Venetian Palazzos, the Galerie del’Accademia Museum, and the 57th Biennale were among the numerous stops of the expansive program. Finally, on top of the cultural visits organized during the trip, two magical Gala nights ensured dreamy memories of those cities. The Grande Nuit at the Louvre featured a riveting performance by rock legends Duran Duran and an exquisite live auction of fine art and luxury trips. The Masked Ball which capped off the final night featured theatrical masks and period costumes and featured a live auction of fine art, luxury trips, and a custom Maserati.
