Louvre Endowment Fund

The Louvre Endowment Fund was established in 2009 to generate capital and produce annual income that could more fully support the exceptional artistic heritage of the museum.

At present, the Endowment Fund provides roughly €23 million in annual program support to the Louvre, which represents almost 10% of the Museum’s €240 million annual budget. However, the Endowment Fund of the Louvre needs more support if it is to meet its goal of becoming one of the financial pillars of the Louvre Museum.

All donors can support one of three major areas:

  • Collections
The care, study and display of the Louvre’s collections.
  • Accessibility
The accessibility of the museum to all including under-served communities, people suffering from mental and physical challenges including Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
  • Palace and Gardens Maintenance
The conservation and improvement of the Louvre Palace and the Tuileries Garden.
