American Friends of the Louvre helps to facilitate gifting important works of art to the Louvre Museum.  Recent donations include Landscape with a Castle, a drawing by François Le Moyne gifted by Jeffrey Horvitz; Napoleon on Horseback, a drawing by Benjamin West donated by Christopher Forbes in honor of his daughter Charlotte Escaravage; a painting by James Northcote entitled The Wanton Revelling with Her Companions, also gifted by the Forbes family, in honor of Becca and John Thrash; and Rebecca and Eliezer at the Well, a painting by Ferdinand Bol, donated by Thomas S. Kaplan and Daphne Recanati Kaplan.
