Like museums throughout the U.S. and the world, the Louvre is closed to the public during the current international health crisis. The museum needs us more than ever, and American Friends of the Louvre will be participating in #GivingTuesdayNow to help the institution in these challenging times.

The Louvre has gone through eight centuries of collective glories and misfortunes. Its historical depth, resilience, and enduring ability to bear witness to the genius of humanity are all a source of comfort and hope in these troubled times. In this spirit, we will be posting photos and videos on Social Media.

#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity organized in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. #GivingTuesdayNow will harness the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to drive a spike of generosity and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.
