The Louvre Endowment was established in 2009 to help the museum meet its long-term financial needs and assist it in sustaining and developing new scholarly and public programs. Depending upon the size of their gifts, donors may create named funds the annual income of which is designated toward specific projects. Several American donors have generously created funds within the Louvre Endowment, through the assistance of AFL, to support Persian art, conservation and community outreach programs.
