Fine Arts Paris and Fall Programming
American Friends of the Louvre opened the Paris autumn season with an exclusive morning viewing of the Fine Arts Fair Paris at the majestic Grand Palais. Members and guests enjoyed a warm welcome by Monsieur Louis de Bayser, member of the fair’s Honorary Committee and Programming Committee, and gallerist specializing in 18th and 19th century fine art drawings. The morning included a private reception under the spectacular glass dome of the Grand Palais, followed by a self-guided tour of the fair before opening to the general public. AFL members also had the chance to meet members of FRAME (French American Museum Exchange) during this special visit.
Each year, Fine Arts Paris features 100 internationally-renowned art and antique dealers, celebrating masterpieces from Antiquity to the present day. From Bruegel, to Chagall, Matisse and Miró, Fine Arts Paris was an opportunity to (re)discover masterful artworks up close, under the beautiful Parisian sunlight.
