The 2026 New York Gala

April 19, 2026

The 2026 New York Gala will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 7-11pm at the iconic Rainbow Room. The evening begins with a cocktail reception on the 65th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, followed by a multi-course dinner, dancing, and a spirited silent and live auction.

The 2026 Cœur d’Art Award will be presented to Harry Nuriev, in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to contemporary art and design. Harry is the founder and creative director of Crosby Studios, which he established in 2014. His multidisciplinary practice spans immersive environments, public spaces, virtual installations, and furniture and object design. Harry’s work was most recently featured at the Louvre as part of Louvre Couture, the museum’s first exhibition dedicated to fashion and one of the most visited exhibitions in its history.

Additionally, the 2026 Cœur de Philanthropie Award will be posthumously presented to Patrick A. Gerschel (1946–2025), honoring his lasting legacy as a founding figure of American Friends of the Louvre. Patrick served as AFL’s inaugural Treasurer from 2002 to 2024, playing a defining role in shaping the organization’s financial stewardship while supporting numerous major initiatives through both leadership and personal philanthropy. His commitment to cultural exchange and the arts was further recognized by the French government when he was named an Officier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and a Chevalier of the Légion d’honneur.

International Council & Chairman’s Circle Annual French pilgrimmage

June 14–June 19, 2026

Please note, that this trip is currently at capacity. Please contact us at cbarut@aflouvre.org if you have any questions.

The 2026 International Council and Chairman’s Circle annual French pilgrimage will offer members several days in Paris before traveling to historic Normandy. Members will have the opportunity to visit museums and tour private homes and collections. A key highlight of the annual trip is special access to the Louvre. After exploring galleries and temporary exhibitions, the group will reconvene at the museum that evening for the third annual Soirée au Musée, a black-tie affair within the museum and an event exclusive to AFL patrons and friends. Throughout the program, patrons will enjoy refined meals, exceptional champagne, and the joie de vivre only France can offer.

If you are interested in becoming a patron of the International Council or Chairman’s Circle and joining this trip, please email us at info@aflouvre.org to learn more.
