Guests gathered in New York City to say bienvenue to Mr. Christophe Leribault during his first visit to the United States in his new role as President-Director of the Louvre Museum.

Graciously hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Michael Loeb in their historic Upper East Side Gilded Age residence, the evening provided a fitting setting to celebrate the Louvre’s bright future and the important role American Friends of the Louvre plays in supporting its continued progress.

The evening also shone a light on architect Annabelle Selldorf, who was in attendance and whose firm was recently selected to oversee the creation of a new entrance at the Louvre along the eastern Grande Colonnade.

It was an inspiring evening of friendship, art, and conversation—and a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the extraordinary developments underway at the Louvre and the enduring partnership that connects the museum with its American friends.
