Americans on the Grand Tour in Italy

American Friends of the Louvre partnered with Colnaghi to host an in-depth presentation of Americans on the Grand Tour in Italy, an overview of the influence of Italian art, culture, and landscapes on some of the 19th century’s most important American artists.

Guests enjoyed a reception followed by a talk by Mark Mitchell, Yale curator of American Paintings & Sculpture. We thank everyone who attended!
