The Metropolitan Museum of Art private tour of “Raphael: Sublime Poetry”

AFL members had the exclusive opportunity to experience Raphael: Sublime Poetry at The Metropolitan Museum of Art during a private tour before public opening hours.

This landmark exhibition—the first comprehensive exhibition devoted to Raphael in the United States—brought together more than 170 masterpieces and rarely seen works, highlighting the extraordinary breadth of the artist’s creativity and achievement. The presentation featured significant drawings, paintings, and tapestries from public and private collections across Europe and the United States, including exceptional loans from the Musée du Louvre.

The private tour was led by Carmen C. Bambach, the Marica F. and Jan T. Vilcek Curator in the Department of Drawings and Prints at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
