Member’s trip to Paris and Hauts-de-France

In June, members of the International Council and Chairman’s Circle visited Paris and Hauts-de-France for their annual summer trip. Activities began in Paris with a cocktail reception at Benjamin Paulin’s live-in museum and home.
The trip began on June 8 with a festive cocktail reception. The next day members experienced Paris through exclusive cultural activities tailored to highlight its timeless charm and artistic heritage. On Tuesday, June 10, donors visited the Dior Museum and historic atelier. One of the highlights of the trip was exploring the Louvre while closed to the public, including the current Louvre Couture exhibition. That evening, members enjoyed a private dinner in the museum, with a surprise operatic performance. It was an unforgettable experience in the world’s most iconic art institution. Other highlights of the group’s time in Paris included private access to the Bulgari store in Place Vendôme, an after-hours tour of the Cluny Museum, and a special visit to Harry Nuriev’s studio.
The second part of the journey took members to Hauts-de-France, a region in northern France celebrated for its rich history, cultural treasures, and blend of historical significance with modern innovation. The group’s time in northern France included visits to the Musée des Beaux-Arts and the remarkable La Piscine Museum in Roubaix. This former Art Deco swimming pool turned museum showcases an exquisite collection of fine arts, decorative arts, and industrial design from the 19th and 20th centuries—a masterful example of heritage preservation. The next day, members had the privilege to visit the Louvre Lens to celebrate the reopening of the iconic Galerie du temps (Gallery of Time)—a stunning space showcasing the Louvre’s masterpieces in a unique chronological display. Members discovered the Liévin Conservation Center, the new state-of-the-art facility inaugurated in 2019 dedicated to the preservation and research of the Louvre’s extensive collections. The trip concluded that evening with a farewell dinner, marking the perfect end to a journey that celebrated art, history, and innovation.
